Logistics specialist takes over the Erich Haslbeck freight forwarding company near Dingolfing in Bavaria

Bocholt, Niederviehbach, 3 July 2024 – The logistics company, Duvenbeck, is boosting its presence in Bavaria. The logistics specialist took over the operations of the freight forwarding company, Erich Haslbeck, which has its headquarters in Niederviehbach near Dingolfing, with effect from 1 July this year. The Haslbeck family business, which was founded in 1971, specialises in factory traffic for the Bavarian automobile industry as well as freight forwarding and logistics services for Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and the construction industry.

“The scope of the company’s services and its excellent location between Landshut and Dingolfing ideally complement our business activities in the fields of transport and contract logistics. We’re combining two advantages through the takeover: we‘re not only moving closer to the Bavarian automobile industry, but Haslbeck also offers us access to new industrial sectors and we can now offer them full logistical services, including warehouse and contract logistics, in southern Germany,” says Hakan Bicil, the CEO of Duvenbeck, explaining the development.

The takeover means that Duvenbeck’s fleet will grow by 75 tractor units and 140 trailers, which operate in Bavaria and all over Germany transporting full and less than truck loads. The new location offers 1,000 square metres of covered space and 2,000 square metres of outdoor space for warehouse logistics. Parts of the logistics building will probably be made available for other haulage companies to rent space there. About 90 employees will now come under the umbrella of Duvenbeck. The two previous managing partners, Bernhard and Christian Haslbeck, are also remaining on board and accompanying the integration process within the Duvenbeck Group.

The Duvenbeck Group is taking a further step towards implementing its diversification and growth strategy in taking over the Erich Haslbeck freight forwarding company. The logistics company had expanded its activities to include the Benelux region by acquiring the Dutch transport and logistics company, Schotpoort Logistics, in February this year.
